The orchestra began in 1968 by a group of school friends who wanted to carry on playing together. The musicians work together with their professional conductor to improve and to extend their repertoire. Under the baton of Gonzalo, their playing has gone from strength to strength and they are enjoying the more complex works they are able to perform in concerts. The orchestra is notable for its friendliness and openness to all who are enthusiastic about playing music. It's a remarkable achievement for a village to have its own orchestra - and one under a professional conductor, Gonzalo Acosta.
